Woman taken to hospital after dog attack

There are certain activities that people should feel reasonably safe doing. For example, most people in Wisconsin and across the country should feel safe while walking to the store. Unfortunately, a woman in another state will likely question her safety from now on after she was reportedly the victim of a dog attack.

The incident happened on a day in early January. According to reports, the victim has special needs and is apparently living as a patient in a boarding home. A woman says that she found the victim on her hands and knees by the side of the road. Three dogs were reportedly around her, though none were attacking her at the time.

The woman who discovered the victim notes there was blood everywhere. The victim reportedly suffered a gash “to the bone” on one hand and puncture wounds on the other. The victim was able to identify the dog that attacked her to the woman. Police indicate that they are still investigating the incident, working to identify the dogs in question and their owners.

An incident such as this often comes with both physical and mental consequences. While her physical injuries can be treated in the short-term, trauma such as this often has long-term mental consequences as well. To ensure that the woman has the medical care she needs to treat all the harm she has experienced as a result of the alleged dog attack, it may be necessary to file a personal injury lawsuit against the dog’s owner once he or she has been identified. Many people who have suffered similar harm in Wisconsin have chosen this path with the guidance of an experienced personal injury attorney.
